Things went a little south at Javelina 100. It got hot, I didn't take great care of myself and ended up calling it at 100k. Overall a positive learning experience but of course fell well short of my desired outcome. The good new was that because I dropped I was not as beat up as I would have been and was able to pace my buddy Tommy at the Ozark Trail 100 for about 20 miles the following weekend.
Happy to see him get the win! He told me he was going for it and even though he was feeling less than his best, he gutted it out and got it done. Below are a few shots taken along the way.
