Another month gone and in the books. February is a short month and usually brings the worst weather here in the mid-west so getting the miles in outside can be rough. This year was no different we had some seriously cold weather and lots of snow. When that cold and snow went away we were left with mud so mentally it was rough getting my butt moving but I stuck to my plan of a minimum of 50 miles a week. I did miss my 50 mile week the week of my race but that was because I traded my slower paced weekly workouts for a fast paced 50k.
All in all I had another good month by my standards. My favorite training was running the Psycho Wyco 50k on Valentine’s Day then hopping in the car with my wife and going to see The Eagles of Death Metal and staying up and on my feet until 2 am. How’s that for cross training?!?!
